ALVIN - Undermanned and in a spot none of its players or coaches ever had been, the Elkins High School boys soccer team played just well enough to break the heart of everyone clad in blue and white.
Playing without its two best players for much of the game Friday night the Knights got as close as they'll ever get to taking down the region's top-ranked team without actually doing it. Galena Park North Shore advanced past Elkins by defeating the Knights in a shootout, 3-2, at Alvin ISD's Memorial Stadium. The teams tied, 2-2, during regulation and overtime....READ MORE
