On Thursday, March 31st, FBISD will host a United States Service Academy/ROTC Academy Program at the FBISD Administration Building. The program will start at 6:30 and will include representatives from West Point, the Coast Guard Academy, the Naval Academy, Air Force Academy, and the Merchant Marine. First 150 students to register will receive 2 tickets to the Rockets vs. Jazz game on Sunday, March 20. For the third consecutive year, the Houston Rockets SAT Training Camp presented by Comcast will team up with The Princeton Review to offer a free preparatory workshop for college bound students and their parents. The college prep day will consist of SAT/ACT training tips, admissions & financial aid information, a speakers' panel, followed by a Q & A and opportunities to speak with university representatives. All students who register for SAT Training Camp are eligible to apply for the chance to be awarded a Princeton Review and Houston Rockets scholarship. Fifteen (15) scholarships will be awarded. The Houston Rockets will again host the annual SAT Training Camp Presented by Comcast here at Toyota Center on Saturday, March 19, 2011, beginning at 12:00pm. Please forward this email and distribute the attached forms to parents, educators and high school students in grades 9-12 that you know will benefit from this important seminar. Students and their parents from throughout Greater Houston and Southeast Texas attend this free college work shop each year to learn how to successfully navigate the college application process. This year sessions will include financial aid and admissions workshops, Princeton Review test taking seminar, as well as one-on-one discussions with admissions counselors from colleges throughout Texas.
