Mark your calendar for the George Foundation College Scholarships Information Event to be held January 23, 2014
Learn, ask questions and get answers about 1)How to fill out FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) Forms, 2) How scholarship applications are evaluated, and 3) How to access scholarships for high school graduating seniors and those currently pursuing a college degree.
This event will be held on January 23, 2014 in Room 103 (Susan Ryon Davis Multipurpose Room) of Brazos Hall, University of Houston Sugar Land, 14004 University Blvd. Sugar Land, TX 77479. Registration is at 6:00 p.m. with presentations from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Registration for the event is not required, but seating is limited.
The George Foundation has established a financial need based scholarship program to assist graduating public high school seniors within Fort Bend County who plan to enroll for the first time at a public two- or four-year college or university in Texas. Renewable scholarships are offered each year for full-time undergraduate study at an accredited public Texas institution of the student's choice. The deadline to submit is March 15, 2014.

Seniors mark your calendars, invite your parents, and make sure to attend the December 16th Financial Aid Night being held in the Elkins Library, 6-8p.m.
We will start the FAFSA form for financial aid for college as well as walk through scholarship application processes. You do not need to miss this. It is essential!
