Sponsored by the American Legion, this opportunity is for a junior boy interested in leadership, a better understanding of our government, and an involvement in citizenship activities. 4) Camp College, hosted by the Admissions Office at Sam Houston State University will be held June 6-8. Targeting sophomores and juniors, this program will help prepare you for college life. The application deadline is April 15, 2011. For more information, visit www.shsu.edu/admission/camp_college.
5) C3-Content*College*Career is a five day high school enrichment program at Rice University designed for current sophomores and juniors focusing on global issues as they relate to environmental sustainability and cultural understanding. Tuition includes materials, breakfast, and lunch each day. Housing and transportation are not included. Visit www.teachers.rice.edu to down the registration form.
6) Sophomores and Juniors interested in Engineering? Consider the MITE summer camp at the University of Texas at Austin. Only fifty students are accepted for each session, so apply early. All expenses are paid except for your travel to and from Austin. Applications are available in the GO Center and the deadline is April 1, 2011.
