21 DECA leaders did an outstanding job competing with approximately 5,000 other high school students for spots on the Texas DECA team in Dallas, February 20-22.
6 Elkins High School students will travel to Atlanta, Georgia to participate in the DECA International Career Development Conference May 2nd through May 6th.
Formerly known as the Distributive Education Clubs of America, DECA is an association for marketing students with over 180,000 members around the country.
EHS is recognized as one of the largest DECA organizations in the state with over 130 members.

National qualifiers advancing to Atlanta include the following:
Amita Batra, Mishi Jain, Aman Gupte, Lauren Rainey, Lillian Wang and Vinit Shah.
Alternate - Medal Winners include:
Ami Patel, Jay Shah, Jasmine Luke and Jaison Mathew.
EHS DECA did a tremendous job in donating over 100 hats to the Children's Hospital in Dallas. We were awarded "Best Disney Hat."
Our chapter was also recognized for being a part of the 100+ club with over 130 members, Make it Count membership drive and a community service project campaign that many DECA members were involved in.
