The high school sports season has fewer than two months to go, which means it’s time to get the postseason underway for spring sports.
District 23-5A championships will be awarded next week in golf and track and field. Fort Bend ISD is a hotbed for track and field talent, and this year’s competition should not disappoint. The meet will be run Monday through Wednesday at Hall Stadium. Thursday is a rain day.
The Hightower, Marshall and Elkins girls likely will contend for the title, while the boys title should come down to Hightower and Marshall. Led by national No. 1 Elkins girls in the 800-meter relay, the relays for both genders should be blazing.... READ MORE
