Your Elkins Knights Baseball Team have made the play-offs. After a tough defeat on Friday night, these young men came out the following day on a mission, to finish what they started back on January 4th, and that was to make the play-offs!! These young men fought tooth and nail for 10 innings and when the final out was recorded, and the dust cleared, your Knights were celebrating in the center of Frankie Field. The players and coaching staff would like to thank everyone for coming out especially the greatest support group ever, our student body. We couldn’t have done this without you! It is truly, “A GREAT DAY TO BE A KNIGHT”!!
The Baseball Team and Coaching Staff would like to thank everyone who attended the game against Clements. Your continued support is greatly appreciated and needed.
Our next game is against Dulles at Dulles, 7:00pm on Friday, April 13th. The Baseball Team and Coaching Staff would like to thank everyone who attended last night’s game against Clements. Your continued support is greatly appreciated and needed. The game was a nail bitter…until an onslaught of multiple hits, which came in the 3rd inning, opened the game up for your Elkins Knights.
Tristan G. lead the attack with a two (2) runs double down the right field line. Once we established the lead, the Rangers were held to four (4) hits and only two (2) runs with a stellar pitching performance by Jake J. The final score was 5-2 for the good guys. Hernandez drove in two runs in the first inning with Dulles' only hit and spun a gorgeous complete game from the mound in the Vikings' 3-2 victory over Elkins in the regular season finale. The triumph gave Dulles a berth in the postseason. The Vikings will be the No. 2 seed. Elkins is eliminated. The Knights would have stayed alive for a three-team tiebreaker by winning on Friday.
