The Touchdown Club of Houston honored more than 60 of the area’s most remarkable seniors during its 2013 Spring Sports Scholar-Athlete Dinner, May 22 at the J.W. Marriott Hotel. When the final awards were announced, Fort Bend ISD stood above the elite.Four award winners in their sport hail from FBISD, including the Outstanding Male Scholar-Athlete in Elkins’ Sam Konstanty.
A four-year standout for the Knights’ soccer team and the top-ranked student at Elkins with a perfect 4.0 GPA, Konstanty was humbled by the honor.
“I actually did not expect it at all,” Konstanty said. “I’ve worked hard, but all of these guys are talented. It’s just an honor and a blessing. It feels like a dream. I’ll talk about this moment for a while. It doesn’t even feel real right now.” Read More
