Elkins High School baseball coach Richard Thistlewaite told his players before Tuesday night's game that it was time to prove they belong in the playoff race.
The Knights responded in glorious fashion.
Jake James pitched five strong innings and added two doubles among three hits and one RBI on offense as Elkins defeated host Kempner, 13-1, in five innings. Elkins entered the game tied for fourth place, two games behind second-place Kempner. Now the Knights are tied for third place, one game back of the Cougars....READ MORE
