GEORGETOWN - The No. 2-ranked Travis High School boys basketball team won four games in two days on its way to the championship at the Jack Frost Thanksgiving Tournament hosted by Georgetown High School.
The Tigers (6-1) defeated the host school, 72-61, in Saturday's championship game. Earlier Saturday, they beat No. 9-ranked San Antonio Churchill in a semifinal, 86-69. Travis beat Bastrop and Los Fresnos in pool play.

Rebounder's Club Thanksgiving Tournament
Clements won two of three games at the two-day, eight-team tournament to place third. In the third-place game Saturday night, the Rangers defeated Cypress Creek, 71-67, in overtime. Victor Mbachu, who was named to the All-Tournament team, scored 31 points.
The Rangers (3-2) defeated Tomball, 81-69, in Friday's first round. Mbachu led the way with 27 points. Alec Horvath scored 20 and Alonzo Golden 14. Clements lost to The Woodlands in Saturday afternoon's semifinal.
Elkins boys 74, Bryan 73
Branford Jones stole the ball from a Bryan player who had just secured a defensive rebound then made a lay-up with three seconds remaining to give visiting Elkins (3-1) the winning points.....READ MORE
