A recap of boys basketball games played by teams in the Sun's coverage area Tuesday night. After tonight's games, all 10 Fort Bend ISD boys teams have winning records.
Travis 55, Bellaire 52
In a rematch of last year's Region III-5A semifinal won by current No. 16-ranked Bellaire, No. 3-ranked Travis (7-1) trailed by five points with three minutes to go and won it in the final seconds. With the game tied at 52, Andrew Harrison stole the ball from University of Texas commit Sheldon McLellan at midcourt, got fouled on his drive to the basket and made one free throw. Harrison missed the second, and McLellan got the rebound but was called for traveling. On the ensuing inbounds play, Travis' Anthony Odunsi made a lay-up with two seconds remaining to provide the winning points.
Elkins 67, The Woodlands 64 (OT)
Visiting Elkins (4-1) picked up its fourth win over a high quality team. Dwayne Lopes scored on a putback in the final seconds of regulation to force overtime. Branford Jones led the Knights with 21 points, and Deric Dudley scored 14....READ MORE
