Judy Hanley - Math Andrea Henderson - Foreign Language Darin Quintero - Special Education Jennifer Roberts - English Fort Bend ISD will host a presentation on “Cyberbullying: Identification, Prevention, and Response,” on Tuesday, November 30, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at the Fort Bend ISD Annex (located at 3119 Sweetwater Blvd. in Sugar Land). Sponsored by The Southwest Region of the Anti-Defamation League and its No Place for Hate® and Community of Respect® Initiatives, the event will feature keynote speaker, Dr. Sameer Hinduja, Associate Professor in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Florida Atlantic University. Hinduja is also Co-Director of the Cyberbullying Research Center and author of Bullying Beyond the Schoolyard: Preventing and Responding to Cyberbullying.
The presentation will help participants identify types of cyberbullying, and learn ways to prevent and respond to the negative actions that are usually targeted at preteens and teenagers by other youth.

Elkins Y.I.P. (Youth in Philanthropy) donated over 600 nonperishable items to the Knights for a Cause…Knights for a Change…Knights for our Community. Congratulations to Elkins Y.I.P. (Youth in Philanthropy) members and sponsor, Jade Love, who won top honors in the Countywide food drive 200-can medieval theme sculpture contest held at the Sugar Land Town Center and sponsored by H-E-B. The Elkins’ can sculpture of a knight on a horse holding its shield and a sword with YIP at the top right took 3 hours to create and earned Elkins YIP $750 along with about $100-150 worth in other prizes!!!! Go KNIGHTS!

Fort Bend Sun - By COREY ROEPKEN Published: 11.10.10 Ever since she was a toddler Donielle Breaux dreamed of playing basketball for a major college. On Wednesday at Elkins High School the senior took a major step toward that goal.
Breaux signed a National Letter of Intent to play for Kansas University. She picked Kansas over three other finalists – Missouri, Wichita State and North Carolina-Wilmington. Breaux is coming off a fantastic junior season in which she averaged 21 points. She earned All-State honors and was named the Sun’s Player of the Year.
