How will you stop diabetes? The future is in your hands. Did you know that the death rate from diabetes continues to climb? Since 1987, the death rate due to diabetes has increased by 45% while the death rates due to cancer, heart disease, and stroke have declined. Please partner with EHS student council and the American Diabetes Association to bring awareness to this disease. On Thursday, Nov. 11th, please wear red and join the Health, PE, FPF, athletics, and various other school groups and teachers in the Girls Gym for our "Schoolwalk for Diabetes." Donations will be given to the American Diabetes Association. See Coach Mattes for details. Regular exercise and eating a healthy diet prevents Type II Diabetes!
