Libraries today are more than repositories for books and other resources. Often the heart of our school, the library is deeply committed to our students’ lives, work and success. Our library is a trusted place which provides assistance in successfully researching an assigned or personal topic using books, databases and websites. In addition, the Library has a large collection of current best sellers and classics geared toward the interests of our students.
“Service to the Elkins community has always been the focus of the library,” said Mary Font, Elkins Librarian. “While this aspect has never changed, our library has grown and evolved in how we provide for the needs of every student in our school.”
First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country each April.
