Dual Credit courses help students make a seamless transition from high school to college. Dual credit also allows students to acquire college hours before completing high school. Students learn what college instructors expect in college level courses while still in their familiar high school surroundings.The goal of dual credit courses is to provide students with the confidence to succeed at the college level when they enter the college or university of their choice.
On Tuesday, March 26th @ 6:30 in the library, Vivian Ellis with HCC will be here to present College Now information to 10th and 11th parents. Students are encouraged to attend as well. The Dual Credit program provides high school juniors and seniors an opportunity to take college courses to receive both college and high school credit. This program is designed to increase college access for students while allowing them to get a head start on core academic courses transferable to colleges and universities.
