1. A minimum of Level II on a course with an EOC test (Algebra I, Biology, English I, English II, and US History) (9th, 10th, and 11th grade)
OR A minimum of 2100 score on all section of exit-level TAKS (12th grade only)
2. Minimum grade of 80 for S2.
3. Students may not have a removal to DAEP/JJAEP.
4. Students may not have any outstanding fines or fees.
5. A student may not have more than four (4) absences (excused or unexcused) in each class during the spring semester. (Absence Codes: E, U, W)
6. Three tardies = 1 absence for exemption purposes (Tardy Code: T, L).
7. FRESHMAN may choose only 3 CORE COURSES (Math, Science, English, or Social Studies) to be exempt.
SOPHOMORES may choose only 3 CORE COURSES (Math, Science, English, or Social Studies) to be exempt.
JUNIORS may choose only 4 CORE COURSE (Math, Science, English, or Social Studies) to be exempt.
SENIORS may be exempt from all courses.
Step 1) Pick up exemption forms from Mr. Tucker at lunch
Step 2) Complete the following sections: 1)Name, 2)Grade, 3) Student ID # and 4) Course Title.Turn into appropriate box in Office 401 by May 15th at 3:00 p.m. NO EXCEPTIONS ON DEADLINE.
Step 3) Mr. Tucker will check for: 1)Attendance, 2) Fees/Fines and 3)Discipline (DAEP/JJAEP) and will return forms to students during all lunches starting May 21st
Step 4) Teachers Check Grades and Re-check attendance & tardies: S2 Grade at least an 80, No More than 4 Absences (E, U and W), 3 tardies = 1 absence (T and L). Turn completed forms into appropriate box in Office 401 (Note: You have until May 28th to pay off all fines/fees and correct any attendance issues) by May 28th at 3:00 p.m. NO EXCEPTIONS ON DEADLINE. e-mail: [email protected]

Step 5) Mr. Tucker will check for State Testing Requirements. Mr. Tucker Returns Forms to Students starting May 31st (will be corrected ASAP to a school day)
